Emmanuel Gospel Assembly Edmonton is associated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), the largest Protestant denomination in Canada. Our congregation is led by the Holy Spirit, and we are committed to the full gospel message of Jesus Christ. We believe in the saving power of Jesus Christ, and in the deliverance, freedom, and healing that God offers through Him.

Our Pastor

Pastor Joshua John was born and raised in an Orthodox Christian family in the Alleppey district of Kerala, India. He completed his diploma in mechanical engineering and was working in the Raurkela steel plant in Orissa when he surrendered his life to our Savior Jesus Christ. He took water baptism in 1987 under the guidance of the Indian Pentecostal Church, Raurkela. In the same year, he was filled with the Holy Spirit and since then he has been serving God and preaching His unchanging word. In 1989, he married Annamma and they are blessed with two sons Sajosh and Jerin. Sajosh is married to Ruth and they are blessed with a baby girl-Zoe.
In 2001 he moved to the USA and worked in the oil sector where he started a ministry with Four Square church. In 2006 he moved to Canada and formed Emmanuel Praise Center a small gathering at his home. During this time he completed a Bachelor of Theology from IICM Plymouth, USA and got ordained as a Pastor in 2010. In 2012, Emmanuel Praise Center got Registered as a Full Gospel Pentecostal church and named Emmanuel Gospel Assembly Edmonton. Canadian Christian Ministries Federation granted him a license to minister in Canada. He completed his Project Management course from NAIT in 2019. Currently, he has done a Master of Divinity from IICM. Since 2020 he is a licenced minister of Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.
